The port of Valencia manages more than 30,000 Suez containers in 10 days

In ten days, the Port of Valencia has managed a total of 32,313 export and import containers from the Suez Canal . The operation was carried out between April 6 and 16. These 10 vessels have added to the daily activity that the port community carries out.

The president of the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), Aurelio Martínez , has highlighted "the work of the port community to assume this Phone Number List additional workload." In this sense, the president has highlighted the measures adopted by the port community at the Guarantee Mark meeting that established a Contingency Plan. As he stated, this " has worked perfectly and has once again demonstrated the ability to assume this type of contingencies ."

“ We have a large port at the service of the business community and always prepared to respond to their import and export demands ,” Martínez explained. The latest freight traffic data for the month of March reflects an increase of 12.96% in freight traffic and an increase of 9.22% in the movement of containers through the Valenciaport docks.

The commitment of the port community
Among the measures implemented in the Contingency Plan, the extension of the hours of the CSP and MSC terminals and the management of export containers by freight forwarding companies stand out. They also wanted to mention the coordination of empty containers so that they are in the terminal yards for the shortest possible time or the planning of the transport sector's day, among others.

Likewise, they also aim at the organization and diversification of calls by shipping companies in the different ports of the Mediterranean to dose and speed up the activity in the port areas and recover the lost time of the ships that were detained.
