Cardinals Take Series in Atlanta
The Cardinals beat the Braves Sunday afternoon by a score of 6-2 behind a strong start by Miles Mikolas while clubbing four solo home runs. In the rubber game of the series St. Louis send out veteran righty Miles Mikolas making his team leading 21st start of the year. Early results were positive as he pitched two clean innings to start the ballgame. Mikolas would give up a solo home run in the third to Jarred Kelenic but at this point the Cardinals were already enjoying a lead. On the offensive side of the ball, the Cardinals scored a run in four of the first five innings. The scoring kicked off in the second inning on a solo home run off the bat of Paul Goldschmidt for his 14th of the year.
